Who can use Rautuki-Säätiö's holiday destinations?

– Rautuki-Säätiö's apartments are great destinations for families, groups of friends and solo vacationers. The person booking must be a staff member of Finnish VR-Group Plc or a person who has retired from VR. Read more here.

How are the holiday dates opened in the booking calendar?

The reservation calendars for the following year are opened in two parts.

The spring season of the following year opens in August-September of the previous year, and the rest of the year opens in November-December. The announcement related to the opening of the calendars takes place primarily on the foundation's website and social media channels.

What does the accommodation price include?

– The price always includes final cleaning and towels and bed linen for the number of people indicated on the reservation form. In addition, at domestic destinations, the price includes destination-specific exercise benefits, such as lift and spa tickets. Benefits and practices can be found under the items.

How is the price of accommodation formed?

- Rautuki-Säätiö does not seek profit with holiday activities, but the apartments are offered at cost price. We aim to cover the costs of holiday activities with the income received from the holiday weeks. The expenses of the holiday activities include apartment fees/rents, weekly cleanings, annual intensive cleanings, key services, maintenance and repairs, additions and updates of movable property, maintenance of the reservation system and sports tickets. Everyone can influence the price with their own actions by taking good care of the apartments.

Can you bring a pet to the apartments of the Rautuki Foundation?

– Rautuki-Säätiö has several pet apartments (Vierumäki, Levi, Turku Caribia, Vuokatin Välke and Vuokatinhovi). Pet apartments are marked with a pet symbol in the reservation calendar. Pets are subject to a specific fee. Pet apartments and practices can be found under the items.

Can more than one holiday week/apartment be booked?

– You can book several weeks or an apartment. Holiday apartments can be booked freely from the booking calendar. The person making the reservation must be a staff member of the Finnish VR-Group Plc or a person who has retired from VR.

Can I book a holiday week even if I don't know my holidays?

– You can. If you cancel your booked holiday no later than 1 week before the start of your holiday, you will get your money back (-€30 cancellation fee). Later, than 1 week before the start of the holiday, we charge a cancellation fee of 100 euros. Check out our booking and cancellation conditions here.

How does vacation cancellation happen?

- Reservations made after May 28, 2024 must be canceled by the booker himself via the link found in the booking confirmation.

- Reservation before 28.5.2024: you can cancel your holiday by sending your booking confirmation to rautuki@vr.fi with the subject line "booking cancellation". Your cancellation has been processed when you receive a confirmation in your e-mail. The money will be returned to the account/card you used to pay for your reservation, as a rule, within a few days of confirmation of the cancellation. Can I change the vacation week I booked to another free week?

-The holiday week cannot be changed by keeping the payment "in".

The exchange is possible as follows:

1. Book and pay for the holiday week you want from the booking calendar.
2. Cancel the week you want via the link in your booking confirmation. After that, send a message to rautuki@vr.fi and mention that you booked another week instead. We do not charge a cancellation fee when changing. Your cancellation has been processed when you receive a confirmation in your e-mail. The money will be returned to the account/card you used to pay for your reservation, as a rule, within a few days of confirmation of the cancellation.

How is the equality of the possibility of booking vacation weeks ensured?

– All vacation weeks can be booked by destination in the Rautuki Foundation's online store (www.rautuki.fi). Information is provided primarily on the Rautuki Foundation's social media channels, Viva Engage and info monitors in the break rooms.
