Those entitled to the benefits of the foundation

1. Regulations

Rautuki Foundation rules from 28 february2023:

Section 2

The purpose of the foundation is to promote the physical condition and well-being of persons employed by domestic companies belonging to the Finnish VR-Group Plc, persons who have retired from the service of these companies or the State Railways, and their family members by supporting sports, camping, exercise, rehabilitation, holiday and cultural activities. The purpose of the foundation is also to promote the work ability of those employed by the Finnish VR-Group Plc by supporting their vocational rehabilitation.

2. Determining who is entitled to benefit from the foundation

  • The right of staff to use the Rautuki Foundation's holiday destinations must always be proven with a VR staff card.
  • Pensioners' right to use the Rautuki Foundation's holiday destinations must always be proven with a VR pensioner's card.

3. Covering the foundation's benefits in special situations

All vacation spot reservations made before the acquisition, transfer of business, rule change or termination remain valid at a subsidized price. Cancellation can be made in accordance with the cancellation conditions.

3.1            Rule Changes

Finrail's staff does not belong to the scope of the foundation's operations after the change in the rules made on April 1, 2016.

3.2         Dismissal for production or financial reasons

A person's right to benefits of the Rautuki Foundation ends on the date of termination of the employment relationship.

3.3         Pensioners through the unemployment pipeline

Those who retire through the unemployment pipeline can retain the right to use fitness vacation destinations on the same principles as they can retain the benefit of a pensioner card with VR. During unemployment, you do not have the right to use fitness vacation destinations, because you are not part of the Foundation's scope of activity when you are unemployed (and you do not have a staff card).

3.4            Dismissal

If a person resigns from the service of a company belonging to the VR-Yhtymä Oy group, the right to Rautuki-Säätiö subsidies ends on the date of termination of the employment relationship.

3.5            Acquisition or transfer of business

If the VR-Yhtymä Oy group gives up its activities through a business acquisition or transfer of business, in that case, for those working in these activities, the right to the Foundation's benefits ends on the date of the transaction.
